We are upgrading our Polkadot Mainnet infrastructure to polkadot-stable2606-2, along with our Polkadot REST API to v0.3.0. The node update is a patch release for the stable2606 line containing fixes across XCM, staking, coretime, assets, and networking subsystems. Notable improvements include corrected XCM weight calculations for claim_assets, a pallet-broker auto-renewal security fix, and WebRTC transport now enabled by default on full nodes.
During the maintenance window, brief interruptions to RPC and REST API availability may occur.
RPC/API Changes: - Breaking: in the REST API, an extrinsic's method field is now omitted rather than populated with placeholder data when that extrinsic could not be decoded. Users relying on strict schema validation or exhaustive struct matching against this field should review their integration. - Fixed a bug where an undecodable extrinsic caused every later extrinsic in the same block to incorrectly inherit its events, success status, and fee data. Affected entries now retain their own data along with a decodeError detail. - Events emitted after a block's last extrinsic (previously dropped) are now returned in a new afterExtrinsics field.
