We are upgrading our Celo Mainnet infrastructure to op-reth v1.0.5 and op-node to celo-v2.2.2. The op-reth release improves CIP-64 correctness and op-geth parity, with enhancements to fee-currency validation, balance checks, pending transaction revalidation, and fee-currency handling. Non-canonical EIP-2718 transaction encodings are now rejected. The op-node release adds support for CIP-64 transactions within span batches and prepares batch submission for the upcoming Ethereum L1 Amsterdam calldata floor gas rules ahead of the Glamsterdam fork, helping ensure transactions continue to be included reliably. During the maintenance window, brief interruptions to RPC availability may occur.
RPC Changes:
eth_call — Fee-currency handling has been improved to ensure correct behavior with CIP-64 currency specifications. eth_estimateGas — Fee-currency handling has been improved to ensure correct behavior with CIP-64 currency specifications. Pending transactions — Revalidation logic has been strengthened to improve correctness and consistency with op-geth behavior. Transaction submission — Non-canonical EIP-2718 transaction encodings are now rejected. Span batches — CIP-64 (CeloDynamicFeeTxV2) transactions are now correctly supported within span batches.
